Snapshot: Borderline Frustrations

By Rachel Jefferson

SAN YSIDRO—On June 1, Pedestrians stand in line while waiting to cross into the United States from Mexico at the San Ysidro Port of Entry in San Ysidro, Calif. The Western Hemisphere Initiative, which went into effect June 1, requires visitors and residents to present an approved travel document at all points of entry. Travel documents include a U.S. passport or passport card, a Trusted Traveler Card (SENTRI, NEXUS or FAST) or an Enhanced Driver’s License. (Photo by Sandy Huffaker/Getty Images)
