Jarrett Dapier
Aside from his duties at In These Times, Dapier is also an actor, drummer, and theatre director. He recently appeared in Hephaestus, a Greek mythology circus tale at Lookingglass Theatre in Chicago. His directing credits include the Chicago premieres of “Thief River,” “Dead City,” named one of the top 6 theatre productions of 2006 by Chicagoist, and “Crumble (Lay Me Down, Justin Timberlake),” named one of the top 5 best theatre productions of 2005 by New City and the Chicago Tribune.
Before joining the staff at In These Times, Dapier worked as a legal assistant at the ACLU of Illinois. While there he assisted the ACLU’s Reproductive Rights Project and also worked on cases involving racial profiling, religious liberty, First Amendment rights, and national security.
He is a proud graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
